Smart Money Has a Public Address Now.

For most of trading history, 'smart money' was an inference. You guessed at institutional positioning from footprints: volume, open interest, the tape. On-chain perps changed the game in a way most traders still have not priced in. On Hyperliquid, every wallet's positions, sizes, entries, and P&L are public, in real time, including the wallets at the top of the leaderboard. The best traders on the venue are trading with their cards face up.
What is actually visible
Because Hyperliquid runs its order book on-chain, anyone can look up a wallet and see its open positions: the asset, the direction, the size, the entry price, the leverage, and the liquidation level. Explorers make this a two-click exercise. Combine that with the leaderboard, which ranks wallets by realized performance, and you can assemble a watchlist of consistently profitable traders and see every move they make as they make it.
Sit with how strange that is. In equities, funds disclose holdings quarterly, 45 days late, long positions only. On Hyperliquid you can watch a top-ranked trader open a nine-figure short in real time. Nothing in traditional markets has ever offered this level of transparency into skilled participants' live positioning.
How to read it without fooling yourself
The naive approach is copying single trades, and it mostly fails. You do not know the wallet's timeframe, its hedges on other venues, or its risk tolerance, and by the time you see the position it may be halfway to its target. A top wallet can afford to be early and sit through a 10% drawdown. Can you?
The durable read is positioning, not trades. What matters is when a wallet with a long profitable history makes an outlier move: a position far larger than its norm, a sudden flip from long to short, or an exit from a position it defended for weeks. Those are high-information events precisely because they are rare for that wallet. Size the signal by the wallet's own baseline, the same way you would Z-score open interest against a coin's own history.
And weight the aggregate over the individual. One skilled wallet going long is a data point. A dozen independently profitable wallets rotating the same direction inside a day is a regime signal.
Where the Hyperliquid Smart Money Scanner fits
Watching dozens of wallets around the clock for outlier behaviour is exactly the kind of vigilance humans are bad at, so we built the Hyperliquid Smart Money Scanner to do it. It tracks Hyperliquid's top traders, alerts when one makes a genuinely outsized move, and detects consensus shifts, the moments when the group's collective lean changes direction. Elite members get the live feed on the website dashboard: current positioning across the biggest tickers, crowding extremes, and a live feed of consensus shifts as they happen. The transparency is on-chain for everyone. The attention is what we sell.
